6-4. If the app fails to create Table of Contents

Target: Version 0.1 or later

Figure 1

Cases like the following will be considered failure of the table of contents created.

  • You stayed in the place where it does not connected to the internet for a while.
  • Evernote's server had maintenance or down.
  • Connecting to Evernote has expired.
  • Some internal error of this application.
If you create a table of contents failed, a dialog will appear when you touch the list. It is displayed in the dialog how is the progress of the process. And you can choose either "stop" or "retry".

Figure 2

☑: finish
×: failed
-: not yet

In the example of Figure 2, it is the situation that the table of contents is created to Evernote, but insertion of the back-link is terminated in the middle.

6-4-1. Retry

If you touch the retry button, the process will start again from the process was interrupted. For example, table of contents creation fails with network outside. Then, you enter the network inside, processing continues normally if you touch the "Retry".

However, touching the retry button while the problem for creating table of contents has not been corrected, the operation will fail again.
In case which cannot recover in the internal error of the fourth above, it is not that the process is successful how many times you retry. I am sorry. In that case, please select the stop button to give up.

6-4-2. Stop

If you touch the stop button to cancel the warning mark. Processing is checked is been reflected to Evernote. So, with this operation, does not affect notes in Evernote.
Display on the list is different in the following two patterns in this app.
  1. The table of contents is failed (Processing has not been successful one) →  It will not appear in the list.
  2. The back link is failed on the way → It appears to the list
